Description

Here's the second character I'd like to see as DLC in Super Smash Bros. 4; Amitie from Puyo Pop!  Anyways, here's the rundown:

Special Moves:

Standard - Puyo Drop: Amitie will make one of five different colors of Puyo fall directly in front of her.  Anyone directly in front of her when she uses this move will get knocked back a bit and take a little damage.  Up to four can be placed anywhere on the stage before they simply disappear; but if they're all placed next to each other to where they connect, they'll release a burst of magic as they vanish, doing far more damage to an enemy (in other words, it's similar to Villager's down special move, Timber).  The color changes after four Puyo have been dropped, and cycles through green, red, blue, yellow, and purple, in that order.  The color does not change the effects of popping four of them.

Side - Elemental Magic: A basic energy-based projectile attack, it travels at the same speed as a fully charged Charge Shot from Samus, but isn't as powerful.  However, sucessfully popping four Puyo with Puyo Drop beforehand will increase its power to double the strength of a Charge Shot!  Easier said then done, since you might have a maximum of seven opponents to keep you distracted!  Fortunately, Puyo placed on the stage cannot be destroyed.  The magic type is different depending on the character; Amitie uses Flame (fire), while her alternates Arle and Ringo use Ice Storm (ice) and Cosine (electricity), respectively.  The strength of the attack resets after using a charged blast, so be sure to pop plenty of Puyo whenever possible!  It does not get any stronger after popping one set, so popping two or more sets before using the move doesn't increase the move's power further (since that could become a broken move, otherwise).

Up - Space-Time Warp: A teleportation move that warps Amitie from one spot to another as inputted on the Circle Pad/Control Stick, but she'll fall from a portal in mid-air in the process.  The fall does damage anyone under her though, and it has great range, making for an excellent recovery move!  She can't maneuver very well while falling though, so make sure your aim is accurate, or you'll miss the stage trying to get back.  Essentially, it's comparable to Zelda's up special move, Farore's Wind.

Down - Offset: Based on the concept of offsetting from the Puyo Pop series, it is a countering move; anyone who hits Amitie while she does the pose for this move will have a Nuisance Puyo drop on their head, dealing double the damage of the attack they used to hit her.  Unlike most countering moves, however, Offset can reflect projectiles too, making it really handy in a pinch!

Final Smash - Puyo Pop Fever: Entering Fever Mode (another concept straight from the series), Amitie causes a storm of Puyo to rain down onto the stage, harming anyone caught in range.  Here different shapes and sizes of Puyo can fall, and any of them that connect will cause a burst of magic more powerful than with Puyo Drop.  It's similar to King Dedede's old Final Smash, Waddle Dee Army, meaning A LOT of Puyo will fall down, making it hard to survive this move with minimal damage!

Character Stats:

Much like Bomberman previously, Amitie is a middleweight, but she sits on the lighter side of the weight chart.  Her defenses and physical attacks are poor, meaning she can easily be launched if the player is too careless about fighting foes who excel at close combat.  Her speed is average though, and Amitie's Special attacks are what truly makes her remarkable.  Elemental Magic can be a very formidable move if the player pops Puyo wisely, but be wary of foes that can reflect.  Fortunately, her Smash attacks are magic too, so those moves are still pretty strong!  Offset also helps in fending off opponents that fight best up close and can even reflect, as long as it's not used so often that it becomes predictable.  Space-Time Warp is a very good recovery move, and can double as an attack if used with expertise.  Fighting at a distance is the recommended play style for Amitie, but her specials make up for her low defense!

Alternate Characters: (y'know, in case you didn't see me say that in the description earlierI am a dummy! )

Arle Nadja and Ringo Andou (I've drawn them before, but some people reading this might be new to my art page, so I'll leave the links anyway...)

Taunts:

Up: Does the peace sign and smiles, saying the phrase, "Iku Yo!" (Which if I recall correctly, is Japanese for "Let's go")

Side: Giggles while making a face sorta like this: Love

Down: Kneels down and pokes at a Puyo of a random color (including Nuisance)

Stage Entrance: A Puyo falls onto three more already on the stage and pops, with Amitie [or either Arle or Ringo] jumping out.

Victory Quotes:

Note: More than likely the characters would retain their Japanese voices (and if they were to get English voices, I'd prefer they get good ones), so these would be more like translations.

Amitie

1. "You're pretty good for someone who doesn't play Puyo Puyo!"

2. "That was wicked!  I had a ton of fun!"

3. "Goody goody!"

Vs. Arle: "Wow, looks like I win this time, Arle!"

Vs. Ringo: "You almost had me there, Ringo!"

Arle Nadja (In her victory animations, Carbuncle appears)

1. "I had a really great time!  I hope you did too!"

2. "You should really play Puyo Puyo with us sometime!"

3. "I won, Carby!" (Obviously talking to Carbuncle)

Vs. Amitie: "Whew, Puyo battles are always a close call with you, Amitie!"

Vs. Ringo: "That was a very good match, Ringo!"

Ringo Andou

1. "I guess I'm a natural at Smash Bros. too!"

2. "It's all about planning ahead and quick thinking!"

3. "I won!  I won!  R-I-N-G-O RULES!" (in a "sing-song" kind of voice)

Vs. Amitie: "You did good Amitie, but luck's on my side today!"

Vs. Arle: "A victory against you is always hard work, Arle!"

Kirby Hat: Kirby wears Amitie's Puyo hat, regardless of whether he copied Amitie, Arle, or Ringo.

Home Stage:  Primp Town - A recurring location in the Puyo Pop series, it works much like an alternate version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Smashville stage, but with a Puyo theme (being located in front of Primp Magic School).  Because of this, there are no stage hazards to worry about on here, just your opponents!  It appears in both versions, but the time of day doesn't change between versions or based on real time.  It's randomized, like in Mushroomy Kingdom, which affects which variety of music plays; it's always daytime in the 3DS version however, due to the "two-tracks per stage" restriction.  A prominent Easter egg in this stage is that background characters will show up if a Puyo Pop character is present:

If Amitie is present - RaffineSigKlugRiderAccordFeli, and Lemres will show up and watch the battle.  In the 3DS version, only these characters will show up regardless of which character is being used.

If Arle is present - Schezo WegeyRulueSuketoudaraWitchDraco Centauros, and Dark Prince (or as he's called in Japan, Satan) will appear.

If Ringo is present - Maguro SasakiRisukuma, and Ecolo will spectate the match.

If none of the characters currently fighting on the stage are from Puyo Pop, then every now and then Puyo will fall in the background

Note: In the Wii U version if two of the Puyo girls are in a battle, both sets of characters from their side will appear.  Obviously all of them show up if all three girls are used in a match.  Also, Dark Prince and Ecolo get annoyed if Arle or Ringo suffers a KO, respectively.  Alternatively, they get excited if their crush succeeds in KO'ing someone else.

Music:

All of the music that plays in the 3DS version also shows up in the daytime version on the Wii U equivalent of the stage:

Common Stage Theme: "Fever Medley" (from Puyo Pop Fever, Puyo Puyo Fever 2, Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary, Puyo Puyo 7, and Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary): www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-UsaP… (video uploaded by YouTube user, "Rebeca Rodrigues") - Original or Remix will do, playing in the order heard in the video provided.

Rare Stage Theme: "Taisen 2 (Puyo Pop Fever)": www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUuJFD… (uploaded by "MusikFievel") - Original, but a remix would be awesome nonetheless!

Smash Run Theme: "Lemres' Theme": www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLQ456… (uploaded by "BoomerangBroLuigi") - Original or Remix, since the latter hasn't been done yet officially.

The rest of the tracks appear only in the Wii U version:

Daytime Theme 4: "Amitie's Theme (Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary)": www.youtube.com/watch?v=0meEuT… (uploaded by "BoomerangBroLuigi") - Original or Remix

Daytime Theme 5: "Arle's Theme": www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zht5Je… (uploaded by "BoomerangBroLuigi) - Original or Remix

Nighttime Theme 1: "Fighting Queen, Rulue!" (from the Puyo Puyo Vocal Tracks album): www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPh6QD… (uploaded by "BoomerangBroLuigi") - Original

Nighttime Theme 2: "Schezo's Theme (Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary)": www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAiFjH… (uploaded by "CyronTanryoku) - Original

Nighttime Theme 3: "Taisen 9 (Puyo Puyo 7)": www.youtube.com/watch?v=D99eb7… (uploaded by "BlueHairKei") - Original

Nighttime Theme 4: "Ringo's Theme" (from Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary): www.youtube.com/watch?v=PputPe… by "CyronTanryoku) - Original

Nighttime Theme 5: "Villianous Puyo Medley" (from Puyo Pop Fever, Puyo Puyo Fever 2, Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary, and Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary) - will play the following themes of these characters in order, either as the original versions or one big remix:

(The latter three tracks were all uploaded by "CyronTanryoku")

Bonus Track: Que Que (from Dr. Mario 64): www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AJWLG… (uploaded by "BrawlBRSTMs3") - Original (yeah, because why not?), plays regardless of the time of day.

Palutena's Guidance Conversation:

Amitie

Pit: "Oh, hey look!  A cute girl came to watch the battle!"

Palutena: "Don't be too quick to judge Pit, she's here to fight as well!  Her name is Amitie, and she's a magic girl from another dimension."

Pit: "A magical girl?  You mean like Zelda? Then this won't be too unfamiliar to me!"

Palutena: "Not quite...  You see, where Amitie comes from, magic powers are enhanced by popping strange, blob-like creatures called Puyo.  The more she pops in a row, the stronger her magic attacks become!  She can even counter your attacks by offsetting them, resulting in you being hit with Nuisance Puyo.  If she gets the Smash Ball, Amitie can enter Fever Mode, and then you'll really be in trouble!"

Pit: "Sheesh, first Kirby, now this girl...  why are cute things so powerful sometimes?"

Viridi: "Don't worry too much about it, lover boy; just fight like you mean business!"

Pit: "......Lover boy...?!"

Viridi: "That's the second time you called Amitie cute!"

Pit: "T-THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING!  Why does it matter to you?!"

Palutena: "Siiiigh...  Can we please stay on topic...?"

Arle Nadja

Pit: "Hey Lady Palutena, this girl is from the same world as Amitie, right?"

Palutena: "Yes indeed!  Arle is another magic user whose specializes in Puyo-based magic.  Unlike Amitie, her Elemental Magic uses Ice Storm instead of Flame, so use your Guardian Orbitars wisely."

Pit: "Say, doesn't she have a yellow rabbit as a pet?  I don't see him with her; was she afraid he'll get hurt or something?"

Palutena: "Probably; a lot of the fighters here fight with their fists, so Arle would be devastated if Carbuncle was bruised up.  Speaking of which, I wish I had a pet too...  Oh well, I guess you'll have to do, Pit!"

Pit: "...Uhhhh...  You aren't gonna put a leash on me, right Lady Palutena...?"

Ringo Andou

Pit: "She looks like your every day school girl; don't tell me she's just like Amitie?"

Palutena: "'Fraid so, Pit...  Ringo may be from a parallel dimension to Amitie's, but she's from the same world nonetheless; which of course means she has magic powers!"

Pit: "From the looks of it, all of her magic is electricity-based...  Good thing I'm not a Flying-type Pokemon!  I'd be fried in an instant if that were the case!"

Palutena: "Pokemon or not, Ringo's magic is nothing to sneeze at!  Fight her like you would anyone else here!"

Pit: "You got it, Lady Palutena!"

Trophy Description:

Amitie

"Looks can be deceiving, and Amitie is a prime example of the saying!  This magic student from Primp Town has faced some pretty powerful (and pretty crazy) opponents, smiling the whole way with her cheerful personality!  In Smash Bros., Amitie's Puyo magic can become a real pain for your foes if they take her lightly; just watch out if they decide to come after you..."

Arle Nadja

"Guys want her, girls envy her, but Arle just wants to live life normally; as normal as life can be for a magical girl who lives in a world full of kooky characters!  She's almost always seen with Carbuncle, a yellow rabbit-like creature who left his original owner, Dark Prince, to become Arle's friend instead.  She occassionally ends up teleporting herself to other worlds by accident while having Puyo battles; perhaps that's how Arle and the others learned about Super Smash Bros.?"

Ringo Andou

"Just your typical schoolgirl with a knack for math and a love of singing right?  Guess again!  Ringo excels at Puyo battling just like Amitie and Arle do, and in Puyo Puyo 7, she fights against Ecolo, a dark creature who possessed Arle.  In that game, she can use Daihenshin, which lets her turn into either a baby or an adult, affecting the Puyo she uses!  She's known to act a little over-the-top when startled, but she has a good head on her shoulders regardless."

Boy, this one felt a little longer than the other one...  Anyways, I hope you guys like it!
